The ECB has warned against excessive control of inflation.
The head of Croatia's Central Bank, Boris Vujčić, stated that excessive intervention by the ECB in monetary policy could increase market volatility, and that it is impossible to keep inflation at the target level permanently.

The European Central Bank should avoid excessive intervention in monetary policy management, as it is impossible to ensure that inflation always aligns with target levels. This was stated on Wednesday by Boris Vujčić, the Governor of the Central Bank of Croatia.
Speaking at a conference in Copenhagen, Vujčić noted that attempts to fine-tune policy too precisely can lead to unnecessary volatility in financial markets.
The Croatian banker emphasized that, despite the ECB's strong understanding of inflation dynamics, some price fluctuations remain difficult to control. As examples of factors that can push inflation away from target levels, he pointed to volatility caused by changes in tariffs, as well as fluctuations in food prices linked to climate change.
