The crisis in the DRAM market is driving up prices not only for RAM and NAND flash memory, but also for semiconductor components, including processors and camera sensors. As a result, Fujifilm plans to increase the recommended retail prices for several camera models starting September 1, 2026.
Fujifilm Camera Price Changes
According to information from Fuji-Store, the price hike will affect both camera bodies and kits with lenses. The Fujifilm X-E5, Fujifilm X-T50, and Fujifilm X-S20 models will each see a €100 increase. The price of the Fujifilm X100 VI will rise by €200, reaching €1,999. For buyers of the Fujifilm GFX100 II, the price will go up by €500 to €8,499, which is €1,000 more than the cost of the Hasselblad X2D II with a similar 100-megapixel medium format sensor.
Table of Recommended Retail Price Changes from September 1, 2026:
| Model | Price until August 31 | Price from September 1 | |-----------------------|----------------------|------------------------| | Fujifilm X100 VI | €1,799 | €1,999 | | Fujifilm X-E5 | €1,549 | €1,649 | | Fujifilm X-T50 | €1,499 | €1,599 | | Fujifilm X-S20 | €1,399 | €1,499 | | Fujifilm GFX100 II | €7,999 | €8,499 |
Reasons for the Price Increase
The price hikes are linked to rising production costs caused by the ongoing DRAM market crisis. Similar changes may be introduced in other countries as the situation affects all camera manufacturers. Further price increases for photographic equipment from other brands are also possible.
