Speaking on Fox Business Network, Musalem noted that the central bank’s policy aligns with the current economic situation. He also pointed out that the recent surge in productivity has not yet been reflected in macroeconomic indicators.
Commenting on the Supreme Court’s decision regarding tariffs, Musalem said that replacing them on an equivalent basis would not lead to substantial changes from an economic perspective.
Additionally, the Fed representative commented on the appointment of Kevin Walsh, describing him as a qualified candidate for a position within the Federal Reserve System.
Musalem emphasized the importance of allowing the Federal Reserve to conduct research based on actual data.
