Apple has removed the Anything coding app from the App Store. This happened a week after the company blocked updates for apps that use artificial intelligence for programming, although earlier versions of such apps remained available in the store.
AI-powered coding tools allow users without programming experience to create their own applications. Since Anything launched last year, several thousand apps have been built using the service, including management systems for emergency response professionals and expense trackers for gig economy workers.
Recently, Apple’s own development environment, Xcode, received integration with AI-powered programming features based on Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s Codex models.
