Spider-Man 2 gets new costumes and upgrades
The new Spider-Man 2 update introduces two fresh suits for Peter Parker, support for Enhanced PSSR technology, and an energy-saving mode on PlayStation 5. These new features become available immediately after installation.
Crius
Insomniac Games, the developer behind Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Wolverine, has released an update for Spider-Man 2 that introduces new suits and additional features for the PlayStation 5 version.
New Suits
Update 1.005.000 for Spider-Man 2 adds two new suits for Peter Parker. The first is the Fresh Start suit, inspired by the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The second is a suit from the upcoming game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Both suits are available immediately after installing the update and do not require any extra steps to unlock. These suits can be used on both PS5 and PC after updating the game to version 2.727.0.0.
Technical Improvements
The update also introduces support for Enhanced PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), a technology that uses artificial intelligence to improve in-game image resolution. This feature was first implemented in Resident Evil: Requiem earlier this year.
Power Saver Mode
Spider-Man 2 now supports Power Saver mode, which reduces energy consumption by lowering game performance. To enable this feature, go to your console settings and activate Power Saver for games if it is not already turned on. Even with Power Saver enabled, you need to select Spider-Man 2 to use this option. Other PS5 games that support Power Saver include God of War: Ragnarok and Ghost of Yotei.
