Samsung is introducing AirDrop support to Quick Share on its Galaxy S26 series devices, including the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The new feature will first become available in South Korea, with plans to expand to other regions such as Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. The rollout schedule may vary by market, so the feature will not launch simultaneously in all countries.
This update is implemented at the software level and gives Galaxy S26 users an additional way to share data between devices, expanding content transfer capabilities across different platforms. Previously, Quick Share was used for file transfers between Samsung devices, but the integration of AirDrop makes it even more convenient for users who need to move data between different ecosystems.
Currently, AirDrop support is limited to the Galaxy S26 series. Information about expanding this feature to other Galaxy devices will be announced later, but the timeline and list of supported models have not yet been disclosed.
The Galaxy S26 is the first platform to test the new Quick Share feature. If the rollout is successful, the update could be extended to more Samsung mobile devices in the coming months.
