There are reports that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models will not see significant changes in their external appearance, at least from the front. Earlier, it was assumed that the devices would feature an updated front panel, but the latest information suggests that the design will remain largely the same as previous generations.
Over the past few months, various leaks have surfaced regarding the look of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. Some of these leaks mentioned a possible redesign of the front panel after several years without updates. However, new information indicates that Apple will continue to use the same form factors as in the iPhone 17 Pro. This means the Dynamic Island cutout will remain unchanged in both size and shape.
Previously, there was speculation about a switch to a design with a hole in the upper left corner of the screen, where the Face ID infrared sensor would be located, and the Dynamic Island would be removed. Another option considered was reducing the size of the Dynamic Island and placing an invisible infrared sensor in the upper left corner of the display. However, the introduction of these changes has reportedly been postponed until the next generation of devices, that is, until the release of the iPhone 19 Pro.
Despite the lack of major external changes, several technical improvements are expected. In particular, the iPhone 18 Pro is rumored to feature the A20 Pro processor built on a 2-nanometer process, as well as a camera with a larger aperture. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to come with a battery capacity of over 5,000 mAh.
It should be noted that all the information presented is based on preliminary data and has not been officially confirmed. Apple has not released any details about its upcoming smartphone models.
