The updated Nvidia driver did not resolve all RTX issues
Nvidia has released the Game Ready 595.71 driver to fix bugs from the previous version, but some GeForce RTX users are still experiencing performance issues in Resident Evil Requiem.
Crius
Nvidia has released an updated Game Ready driver version 595.71 to address bugs found in the previous 595.59 release. However, GeForce graphics card users playing Resident Evil Requiem are still experiencing a number of technical issues.
Problems with Driver 595.59
The Game Ready 595.59 driver was introduced to optimize GeForce graphics cards for the recently launched Resident Evil Requiem. Yet, after installing this update, some RTX card owners encountered new problems, including incorrect fan detection and unstable performance.
Recall and Release of the New Version
Following user complaints, driver 595.59 was withdrawn, and Nvidia began working on a corrected version. As a result, the Game Ready 595.71 driver was released, intended to fix the identified bugs.
Fixes in Version 595.71
According to the official patch notes, version 595.71 resolves issues where monitoring utilities failed to detect all GPU fans, as well as a problem where one or more fans would stop spinning after installing the previous driver. Both of these defects were widespread in version 595.59.
Remaining Issues
Despite the update, some users continue to report reduced performance in Resident Evil Requiem. For example, an RTX 4080 Super owner noted that after switching from driver 576.88 to 595.71, their in-game frame rate dropped from around 110 to 91 FPS, and GPU power consumption decreased from 310W to 260–270W.
Another user with an RTX 4090 experienced game crashes when enabling DLSS after installing driver 595.71, but reverting to an older driver resolved the issue. Reinstalling 595.71 caused the problem to return. Discussions on platform X also highlighted issues with voltage and performance drops following the driver update.
Conclusion
The release of the Game Ready 595.71 driver fixed several technical bugs, but some users continue to face new challenges when running Resident Evil Requiem on GeForce RTX graphics cards.
