Google Chrome enhances security with new patches
Google has released updates for Chrome on both desktop and mobile platforms, addressing the CVE-2026-2441 vulnerability and introducing additional security patches. The updates will be rolled out gradually over the coming days.

Google has released updated stable versions of the Chrome 145 browser after addressing the CVE-2026-2441 vulnerability and has implemented three additional security patches. Both the standard and Extended Stable channels have been updated, and the inclusion of the exploited vulnerability in the CISA KEV catalog has been initiated.
Updates for Desktop Systems
On February 18, 2026, a new Stable Channel release for desktop platforms was published. Chrome has been updated to version 145.0.7632.109/110 for Windows and macOS, and to 144.0.7559.109 for Linux. The rollout of these updates will occur gradually over the coming days and weeks.
The release notes for desktop systems list three security fixes that are not related to CVE-2026-2441.
On the same day, the Extended Stable channel was updated to version 144.0.7559.220 for Windows and Mac, also with a phased rollout.
Updates for Mobile Devices
Alongside the desktop updates, stable versions of Chrome for mobile devices were also released. The release notes for Android mention that the mobile versions include the same security fixes as the corresponding desktop versions, unless otherwise specified.
Inclusion of the Vulnerability in the CISA KEV Catalog
The CVE-2026-2441 vulnerability is now included in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog. The NVD page reflects KEV metadata and provides information about the availability of a publicly posted PoC.
CISA has officially announced the addition of CVE-2026-2441 to the catalog as part of a batch update. The NVD entry has been updated to include a link to the public PoC.
