Kanita Sartvattau will become the first female head of PTTEP
Kanita Tanita Sartvattau has been appointed as the new CEO of PTTEP and will become the first woman to hold this position in the company's history. Her responsibilities include strengthening sustainability and developing the business in line with the principles of sustainable development.

Thailand’s national oil and gas company PTTEP has announced the appointment of Kanita Tanita Sartwattau as its new Chief Executive Officer. She will succeed Montri Rawanchaikul, who is retiring after five years in the role.
The PTTEP Board of Directors decided on June 20, 2025, to appoint Kanita as Acting CEO from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition of leadership. Starting October 1, 2026, she will officially take over as the company’s CEO.
Kanita’s responsibilities will include strengthening the organization’s sustainability, ensuring long-term growth in line with PTTEP’s sustainable development principles, increasing the company’s adaptability to changes in the business environment, and placing special emphasis on employees as a key asset.
At 55, Kanita will become the first woman to serve as CEO in PTTEP’s 41-year history. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla (USA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
Since 2011, Kanita has held various leadership positions at PTTEP, including serving as Development and Production Planning Manager in Myanmar, where she oversaw the M-3 gas project, which is currently underway. She is currently acting CEO and serves as Vice President for Strategy, Business Development, and Human Resources Management.
