Valve previously released the Steam Controller and Steam Machine, and now the company is expected to launch a new VR headset called Steam Frame. While there is still no official information about the release date or price of the device, recent changes on the Steam server side suggest that the product may be launching soon.
Recently, Steam introduced a Welcome Tour feature for Steam Frame, designed to help new users get acquainted with the headset after setup. This feature has already been localized into all major languages.
Additionally, Steam has added compatibility filters for Steam Frame, allowing users to search for games that support the headset. Special icons have also been implemented to indicate the compatibility status of games: Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown—similar to the system used for Steam Deck.
All these updates have been rolled out to the Steam server side as of today, indicating preparations for the device's launch. In recent weeks, the company has also received several shipments related to Steam Frame, which could point to an official announcement of the headset in the near future.
