A few days after the release of Xiaomi's first power bank compliant with the new Chinese safety standard GB 47372-2026, Anker introduced its own certified model. This device is expected to be an updated version of the Zolo power bank, which is currently available on Amazon for $49.99. Additional details about the new product will be announced at a later date.
Main Features
According to the published teaser images, the new power bank comes equipped with two built-in USB-C cables, as well as USB-C and USB-A ports, allowing you to charge up to four devices simultaneously. The device supports fast charging with a power output of up to 55W through any of its three USB-C outputs, surpassing the current Zolo model's 45W. The USB-A port supports up to 33W of power.
The stated nominal energy is 74 Wh, which is roughly equivalent to a capacity of 20,000 mAh, similar to the previous Zolo model. In addition to increased charging power, the main upgrade is compliance with the new Chinese national safety standard GB 47372-2026.
New Safety Standard
The newly introduced standard sets stricter safety requirements for batteries, aimed at reducing the risk of fire and explosion. Manufacturers must transition to the new standards by April 1, 2027.
Additional Information
The release date for the new Zolo Power Bank with 55W support has not yet been announced. The device features enhanced protection systems against fire and explosion.
