Processors and Performance

The ARM version of the Surface Laptop 8 for consumers is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 chips, delivering a significant boost in performance, especially for AI-related tasks. Users can choose between the 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-78-100) and the 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus (X2P-64-100), both with a maximum clock speed of up to 4.0 GHz. The built-in NPU provides up to 80 TOPS of AI processing power.

The device supports up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and replaceable SSDs with capacities of 512 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB.
