Since the launch of the "Gold Card" visa program for permanent residency in the United States for $1 million, only one application has been approved despite hundreds of submissions. The identity of the recipient has not been disclosed.

Only one person has been granted permission to participate in the "Gold Card" visa program, which allows foreign nationals to obtain permanent residency in the United States for a sum of $1 million. This was announced by Minister of Commerce Howard Lutnik. According to him, several hundred more applications from foreign citizens are currently under review, but the identity of the approved applicant has not been disclosed.
The application process for the program began in December. To obtain the visa, applicants must undergo a thorough background check and pay a processing fee of $15,000 in addition to the main contribution of $1 million required for permanent residency.
The "Gold Card" visa program was launched to attract talented professionals to the United States. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has not provided information on the approval rate of applications or the status of those currently being processed.
