Bethesda is currently working on several major projects, including new content for Starfield, and continues development on The Elder Scrolls 6, which now involves most of the studio’s staff.
The Development of The Elder Scrolls 6
Since the release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered in April last year, interest in The Elder Scrolls VI has grown significantly. At present, the majority of Bethesda’s team is focused on creating The Elder Scrolls 6. The project is being developed on the Creation Engine 3, which will serve as the foundation for the studio’s future games. Development is currently at a crucial internal stage, but no official release date has been announced yet. The game will follow the classic style of the series, with an emphasis on returning to its roots, in contrast to the creative experiments seen in Fallout 76 and Starfield. The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced more than seven years ago.
New Content for Starfield
During the Kinda Funny Gamescast podcast, which aired on February 18, it was confirmed that new content is being prepared for Starfield. It was clarified that this is not Starfield 2.0, but fans can expect additional material for the game. No specific release dates have been given, but more details about the new content will be announced soon. Support for Starfield with extra content will continue for some time.
Fallout Series Projects
Several projects related to the Fallout series are also in development. Discussions are underway regarding a possible remaster of Fallout 3. At this time, there is no information about Fallout 5 or other new games in the series. It is noted that the attitude toward remasters has become more favorable over time.
Bethesda remains actively engaged with its key franchises, focusing primarily on The Elder Scrolls 6, ongoing support for Starfield, and the continued development of the Fallout series.
